Aviation Management & Flight Capstone
Course Overview
Aviation Management & Flight Capstone combines advanced aviation coursework with real-world industry experience. Students explore aviation weather services, instrument flight procedures, IFR regulations, flight planning, navigation systems, and aviation communication practices while preparing for continued postsecondary aviation training.
A key component of the course is work-based learning. Students may complete internships, job shadowing experiences, or industry placements with aviation partners where they can apply classroom knowledge in professional settings. Experiences may vary based on employer needs and opportunities but can include exposure to airport operations, aviation management, customer service, flight support operations, and related aviation careers.
